Life is good and it will stay good. This is the message I took with me from the opening of The Village today in Dbayeh North of Beirut. The warm design, the lively colors, the joyful atmosphere are heart-warming and make you wish you could start your day here every day with a hot coffee at Lina’s, then enjoy your Lebanese working lunch at Nasma and chill out at The Bar in the evening (to name a few only). The Village gave me an effective break from all the stress outside. It offered me effortless entertainment and I left it relaxed without knowing why. Only to hear on the radio of the bombings that occured in Southern Beirut. Back to Beirut’s reality. Or is this only a part of it? The other part is entitled “hope”. Or, to say it like The Village: Life in Beirut is good, and it will stay good.
